I bought a new spool of thread for a wig. I used to use cotton yarn but was interested in switching to nylon. This set exceeded my expectations. The thread is strong but thin. It does not unravel when cut with sharp scissors, making it easier to thread needles. There are several needles included in the kit, two of which I use right away (two curved mattress needles). The needs are solid too (I've broken off needles before. They can take quite a bit of pressure). The thread is my favorite part of this set, but the scissors are a close second.
