Following my previous check below I contacted the company and the company promptly replaced the entire unit. I provided them with details and photos showing the problem and no question they sent me new hardware, fast and free! The new device works perfectly. Trying to get an accurate temperature is difficult when both sensors connected to the same piece of meat or bowl of water read 2 different temperatures. Luckily my Camp Chef Smoker came with a sensor to give me a better idea of the actual temperature when using the item. I also did NOT receive the magnet described. I am currently awaiting news from the company.
