Well I love to draw comics in my free time and I don't have much money to invest in quality materials. It's a hobby, not a job. However, I do have a bit of a penchant for certain types of paper and supplies, but my favorite brand of sketchbooks have suddenly gone up in price. I decided to buy paper online. So as you write, please keep in mind that I am comparing it to sketchbooks that I would buy with the following specifications: medium weight (94 g/m^2), acid free, 11" x 8.5" 70 sheets, lightweight to tear perforations, a cover with two pockets on the front, a soft cardboard back cover, paper that aligns properly when closed, sheets that don't stick together, and wire binding that's in the same style as this one. .My experience of buying this product Pros: -Arrived on time -Correct paper texture for what I want to do -It's the right size for what I want to do -It's basically what I wanted at face value Cons : -Some of the corners straight out of the box have been folded over - which is annoying as I like to use the whole page and make enough mistakes and creases myself and the paper doesn't start to rot. I'm pretty sure this happened before packing and shipping. the books are shrink-wrapped and placed in a custom-fit box and the creases don't look like they're bouncing around in the box. The papers are not all the same. I used to work in a bindery and let me tell you that paper misalignment when the book is closed is unacceptable. It's ok, but another indication of poor quality is a few stains. Back of both sketchbooks. The easy tear perforations are such that the pages actually stick together at the perforations and need to be separated or torn cleanly from the sketchbook. To be honest if it was just one of those things on the cons list I could deal with it but overall it screams low quality. The biggest problem is that the papers are not aligned well, if I put this in my backpack the ones sticking out will tear very quickly. I've added some photos so you can decide for yourself. Please excuse the messy background.Additional: 9-11-2016You are on fire. I tore out a few pages and when they are closed they fit together better. However, I'm keeping 2 stars because of the poor workmanship and because I was led to believe that the low price was temporary. If I had to pay full price for it and got albums of this quality I would probably return them. September 26, 2016 I've had a good time on my travels, the paper is still exactly what I wanted. The more papers I remove from notebooks, the better the notebook closes. changed to 3 stars 10/12/2016 bought a new set and the previous problems did not occur. there really are no problems with them. ideal condition.
