Works very well with my SkyWatcher mount and 8 " SCT
These pads make the telescope noticeably more stable and the tripod easier to align on grass/ground as the pads spread the weight of each foot over a wider Territory. The cushioning is quite effective. Definitely worth the price. My only gripe is that they aren't perfectly finished - they don't look as pretty in real life as they do in the photos. The orange cushioning material sticks out and sticks out a bit There is no difference in how they work.
