Let me start by loving my Melitta. It is very easy to care for and durable. Received as a gift, decided to give to my mom for her birthday. I have the red one and it was much more curved on two sides than mine so it wobbled from side to side and it seemed dangerous that it would shift so much when you poured hot water in it. I read in the questions that someone had the same issue with the red so I had to return it instead of exchanging for fear I would have the same thing a second time. Super disappointed. Maybe choose black if you decide to buy as based on the comments and questions the curve seems to be a better fit for red. Mine is black and doesn't wobble when sitting on cups.
