Review on 💾 WD Black Performance Mobile Hard Drive: 1TB, 7200RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 2.5" Form Factor by Keyone Brownlee

WARNING: The WD Black 750GB and WD Black 1TB Performance Mobile reviews seem to have the same test text. So be careful, what you read may not be what you get if the reviewer wasn't more specific. This is NOT the same drive and has different specifications! I will list both here. RE: WD Black 750GB Drive - 5 Stars: I bought about 20 of these drives - some from Revain and some from my local computer store. They work well, for 3 years there has not been a single breakdown. A server has 10 of them as a raid array. Also, they don't cause false thermal runaway issues when you install them on an HP Proliant DL380 G6/G7 server like many drives do. I would give you a link to an article I wrote about it, except that Revain doesn't like external URLs in reviews. All this and the WD Blacks come with a 5 year warranty, it's a 7200rpm drive and . Well, you can't go wrong with this drive in your laptop or server! RE: WD Black 1TB Performance Mobile Hard Drive - 3 stars. This is a far cry from the 1TB version of the 750GB. This is a different design, draws MUCH more power and is NOT compatible with various HP servers without causing thermal runaway. It also runs much warmer (that's not the cause of the thermal runaway, it's due to the temperature readings reported by the drive)
