How can anyone build a lock that automatically resets its configuration to any number when connected to a laptop - and then learn about it (assuming someone reads them customer reviews - see comments on other reviews) and then resell this product - it's just a mess! The product worked for about a year - and then one day it decides to reset itself to a random combination while still connected/locked to the computer - apparently pressure on the cable can cause this. When nothing else worked, I had to literally cut the lock (no wire - a lock!) in half with a hacksaw. This was the only way to remove it from the laptop without taking it to a locksmith (and of course I want the locksmith to pick the lock while it's connected to an expensive laptop). Terrible product - lousy design - IMO - DO NOT BUY THIS!
