Review on Tormek TTS 100 Sharpening Setter: Enhancing Precision and Efficiency by Terrance Duncan

Seems a bit expensive but like all Tormek products it is well made and works well. I really appreciate Tormek for continuing to innovate with new products and making them backward compatible with older Tormek models. One downside to the TTS-100 is that it limits your choices to a few different angles, which is the reason for my 4 star rating instead of 5. In most cases, however, the intended angles are sufficient and the time saved when setting up – both on the grinding wheel and on the leather strap – pays off. Banking with settings supported by the TTS-100. The angles are a little different than what I'm used to, but it was easy to adjust and the time saved with each sharpening makes it worth it. It always took me a bit of trial and error to get the angle right with the old "bevel painting" method, but with the TTS-100 I get it right first time every time. Something that isn't mentioned in the description is that there are magnets on the back for convenient storage right on the front of the Tormek coffee grinder. Good technology that saves a lot of set-up time. Highly recommended if you are a wood turner!
