Too long and the spring won't stretch
I have a 1997 Ezgo TXT 36 volt. The shocks are over an inch longer than stock. After pulling the spring off to lower the tail far enough to install it, I found that the spring hit the axle before the bolt lined up with the mounting hole. If you flip it over it will fit on the end of the axle but the spring will hit the body.
