Like some other reviewers, I have nearly 20 candles in my windows year-round. I've spent over 15 years replacing blown lightbulbs every few months for about $80 apiece. one year for bulbs only. I didn't know there were standard window candle LED bulbs that give off a bright and soft white light until my neighbor, an architect, recommended them after I complimented him on the light in his windows. They are indistinguishable from incandescent bulbs and give, I would say, a more attractive light. Note that they are smaller than a normal window candle (e.g. a night light), but this does not affect the brightness of the light. I have window candles with 8 hour timers so the bulbs don't burn for 14 hours in the winter. When my lightbulbs burned out I had to be home to replace them while I wanted to turn them on. I will have to do the same to them, but they will burn out many, many months later, but I will write about my experience. Finally, when you add the significant energy savings of LEDs, you will find success with these lamps.
