Please note that the cat collar is not easy to come off like a cat collar should. My 1 year old cat had her tongue stuck in her mouth and when she struggled to get it out she tore her tongue out and required surgery. She was bleeding from her mouth and down her chest. I tried to take it from her after it detached (I came to her as she pulled it out of her mouth) and I had to use two hands and force to remove it. Cat collars should be easy to remove so they don't hurt your mouth if they get stuck. The fact that I have a hard time taking it off is an obvious problem with the breakaway collar. At the vet in the ER it cost us $550. If your cat is likely to have a stuck mouth, buy a different collar as it is not a breakable collar.
