I use this to connect my USB-C laptop to my external monitor, ethernet, power, keyboard and mouse all with one cable. HDMI version and DisplayPort version. The HDMI version has faster network and USB ports. It says it can only run at 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz, but it also seems to work well at 3440 x 1440 at 60Hz, which is what my Dell 21:9 ultra wide monitor uses. The DisplayPort version can work with 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz but my monitor doesn't need it. The HDMI version also has a slightly longer cable, making it easier to use in my setup. Both options work well and are much better than USB docking stations from other companies. I've used them with both macOS and Linux. Neither small nor big. It's small enough to carry in a backpack and big enough not to overheat. Good service. When I had a question, customer service replied to my email the same day.
