The smooth surface is great for warming up designs with gestures
I love the suppleness of Strathmore 300 Series Newsprint when I'm making quick gestures while warming up before drawing figures. It's also nice to do quick sketches to come up with ideas. Before attending the Strathmore online seminar, I had no idea smooth newsprint existed. I couldn't find it at any of the local art or craft stores. I was frustrated so I tried searching on Revain. Reven had it! Yes! I have to order some more pads. It's really great and I like it a lot better than the rough newsprint I've been using since 1972.
