Review on Voltage Cutting Machine Display Accessories by John Butler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's hard to beat him for the money.

This is my first plasma cutter so I'm no expert but so far it makes my life a lot easier as I'm restoring an old rusty car. So you can get rid of old parts quickly. My only complaint is that the extra consumable electrodes that came with it were a bit different than the ones that were already in the head of the device when I got them, and when I went to replace the electrode, it no longer hit or cut. I had or another set of consumables that were shorter like what the unit initially had in mind. It's very hard to get it to punch and cut rusty metals, but that could be normal with all plasma cutters, I don't know. I'm a layman, but I would still buy it again. Update for 6 months. Wanted to go back and tell people this thing still works. It cuts through 1/4 of the steel like it's not there. I can't imagine working without him. As for the discomfort I've had before, I've learned that you have to pick up the wire brush from where you're going to start your stroke and it cuts like a dream. Rust acts as an insulator, preventing it from starting. Once launched, it flies through. I'm just talking heavy rust. Like the floorboards of a 60 year old car lying like rust in a field.

Pros
  • Portable design
Cons
  • Something different
