This works well for cheese. You can burn in the middle, but the pot is easy to clean. A heavy cast iron pot that is (apparently) covered in enamel. Forks work better with bread than two-pronged forks. I bought this after using a stainless steel fondue pot for a couple of years and getting annoyed with the burning cheese. I've found that they're actually better for meat/butter, ceramic for chocolate, and enamel for cheese. The pot can slide a little on the stand, but the raised edges prevent it from sliding off.
