So far I've used it on the 40 gallon and my 20 gallon to clear up algal blooms and bacterial infections. In 4 days of work, 6 hours a day, my 20 gallons went from mountain dew green to crystal clear. Be careful with the force of the blast because I almost shot my poor barbs out of the pool and into the wall. I've also used this to isolate bacterial infections when we couldn't find an antifungal or antiviral to fix the problem. If you can't understand the instructions, you're not alone as they weren't in English. The photos speak for themselves. It comes with an extra bulb and extra filament for the filter part. Be careful when opening the case to get the bulb out as I was afraid of breaking it while researching how it works. The best product I have ever bought for my tanks!
