Review on Flowmaster 817511 Axle Back System 409S by David Blackstock

I researched the rear exhaust for about 2 weeks, it was in my shopping cart for about a week before I pulled the trigger. So glad I chose them, they sound fantastic on my 2005 GT. Everything else in my car is standard at the moment, they are definitely louder than the stock exhaust on the rear axle. But don't believe all the hype about raising the alarm and becoming a magnet for the police. In terms of exhaust sound and volume, they are perfect for being too loud and annoyingly loud and offensive to the neighbors. The exhaust is not comfortable and deep, you can slowly roll around your area and not bother anyone. The setup wasn't bad at all, we only put the car upside down on the ramps and had enough space to work. The driver's side is more difficult to remove than the passenger's side. Maybe it only lasted 2 hours with a break. To be honest I couldn't be happier with this purchase. If in doubt about buying these Flowmaster Outlaws, just do it. You will not regret your purchase. I'm sure I would have been disappointed if I had bought the American Thunder series or any other series. They are perfect and make the S197 sound exactly how it should sound like a muscle car.
