Love this set. We used to have a Japanese pourover with a stainless steel filter. But the second time we broke the carafe, I decided to buy a different style. The Japanese was a big and heavy top - the top was very wide so it tipped over when pushed and while we were lucky it didn't always break but it ended up happening with two different sets. This carafe has a heavy base and is therefore very durable. I also like the lid, it reminds me of old diners with their decanters with hinged steel lids. The best thing is the pot set with stand, the footprint on my stand is pretty small and it looks nice sitting. And since it has its own wooden stand, we don't put it on our granite counters and risk breaking the glass.
