Review on Kerrits Kids Performance Tight Black Sports & Fitness in Other Sports by James Lighting

Soft, comfortable riding leggings of excellent quality for leisure or show riding.

I ordered 2 pairs of XL Kerrit riding tights for my 12 year old daughter in 7th grade who rides 3-6 days a week and often does her chores at the stables. We went to the local clothing store early in the season and they only had a couple of Kerritt pairs in her size but I wanted a few more for the summer so I didn't wash every day to keep them clean and tidy. Revane pulled us out again. We bought Kerrit brand jodhpurs from the gear store and will not be going back to any other brand. These trousers are very soft, keep their shape and are comfortable to wear even in hot summer weather. They move with you, don't jam in the wrong places, and feel like you're wearing pajamas even during the day. They have knee pads on the inside of the leg, which makes these pants last longer than regular fashion pants when riding. Kerrit breeches are made in the form of 'tights' so they fit the body snugly as you would expect from breeches. These pants fit us as expected as we know this brand. However, if you're buying for someone who is still growing and prefers to wear looser clothes than I would recommend going up a size, chances are you'll outgrow them before they fall apart on you. Another thing to note is that we tend to wear our tall socks over our trousers and this keeps them in place when riding in our tall boots. A habit we picked up before we even found Kerrit's breeches. However, ankle leggings have a slight elastic on the inside that keeps them in place. They don't have stirrups that connect to the pants. We specifically looked for pants that don't have this as the button irritates the skin when your boots and socks are pressed against your leg and often leaves a button mark at the ankle in hot weather. If you really need it I would recommend getting detachable ones like the elastic pant clip so you always have the choice for the best comfort for you. We did some fun shows and some kids dressage shows this summer and my daughter wore these pants to shows with no problem. We have Kerrit pants with a funny print that we can't wear to the shows but they fit perfectly.
