Review on πŸŽ’ Osprey Mens Levity 45 Parallax: Ultralight Backpacking Perfection by Shahed Cleveland

Sturdy backpack, but a bit confusing

Well, I'm not a big hiker, but sometimes I need it. There are a few things I like; bright color, rear vents and storage options. But there are a lot of extra cables in different places and I have no idea what they are for. I'm sure it means protecting things, but it doesn't seem obvious how to do that. It's also called a men's backpack, but I was hoping it would be more unisex. This is not the case if you are a busty woman as the chest strap REALLY compresses that area. I even adjusted the height, it got better but not by much. The waist belt and supports are good, but I haven't had a chance to test their weight transfer properties. Access to the side pocket is convenient but a bit uncomfortable. Not impossible, but nothing easy to do in a hurry. Overall, I think this is a solid, well-made package that will serve my family's needs well, even if we don't always understand how things work.

Pros
  • Hiking backpacks
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
