Great backpack for hiking/trekking.

When hiking, you need a light, spacious backpack that has plenty of space and multiple pockets. And this bag matches it. The fabric of the bag is also very good. And it's very easy to carry. Even full and heavy, it will not hurt your back if you wear it for a long time. Also, it can be used as a regular backpack (I do). It's a bit expensive (and therefore only 4 stars). But I like it.

Wow. Now it's a backpack!

My daughter is with the BSA Scouts (formerly Boy Scouts. Yes girls are allowed to be there now and she LOVES it. She is learning outdoor skills, leadership skills and more). ;) She looks forward to any of the intense outdoor activities BSA has to offer and often goes on short hikes as well. We bought her this backpack because we knew it would be great for a longer adventure or long hike. This is an amazing backpack. It's big but so light. It has all kinds of features. For most, I'll let theโ€ฆ

Osprey levity Best in Backpacks, Bags & Accessories

I love this backpack, I switched from Osprey Exos to Levity and it's great! This is definitely a small holdall, make sure your basic weight is reduced and things organized. My dry weight is around 10 pounds which is perfect for this bag. I run closer to 20-25 pounds in the wet depending on distance and time, and I don't think I would lift any more weight. If you're closer to 25-35 pounds wet I'll probably go with the Exos instead. However, the bag is great to carry, I think the osprey has theโ€ฆ

Ultralight backpack for ultralight workouts

This review is of the Levity 60. This backpack is amazingly light and was designed for weekend camping or ultralight long hikes. Like all Osprey packs, it distributes the weight perfectly across your body, making everything you pack feel lighter than it really is. We already have the Osprey Atmos backpack which is a workhorse with lots of zip pockets, waist pockets etc. It's a backpack built to carry a lot of weight. The Levity is lightweight - weighing just under 2 pounds unloaded - and has aโ€ฆ

Sturdy backpack, but a bit confusing

Well, I'm not a big hiker, but sometimes I need it. There are a few things I like; bright color, rear vents and storage options. But there are a lot of extra cables in different places and I have no idea what they are for. I'm sure it means protecting things, but it doesn't seem obvious how to do that. It's also called a men's backpack, but I was hoping it would be more unisex. This is not the case if you are a busty woman as the chest strap REALLY compresses that area. I even adjusted theโ€ฆ

Osprey can improve a lot in this pack.

Compared to my Exos 58 from 2017, the Levity 45 is taller and wider, which doesn't make sense as it has significantly less volume. I can't look straight up without the top of my backpack touching the back of my head. This problem is very noticeable when climbing steep slopes. In addition, the cover is not removable. I'm not sure how they reasoned by removing all of the hipbelt pockets while keeping the lid. I'd rather save weight by keeping pockets and not having a lid. Airspeed Suspensionโ€ฆ
