I have had 8 ohm JBL E60 speakers for over 10 years. Initially, an AV Receiver Pioneer 714 was bought for them. So he couldn’t cope with them, he couldn’t even swing them to bass. The sound was mediocre. All did not dare to change. But over time, he began to act up and I decided to change it. I read for a long time and chose between the Yamaha stereo receiver / integrated amplifiers 201 and 301. The sellers advised me to take the stereo receiver. But I wanted an analog stereo receiver. I bought 301 and did not regret it! My speakers sounded heavenly in a new way, even though I don't have a prof. music Hearing, I immediately noticed the difference! I don't regret my choice. The signal to the receiver goes through a network player with flac files. I will give advice to those who choose between receivers and integrated amplifiers: if you have a stereo system - definitely only an amplifier! Don't listen to anyone! If you like to watch movies - then the receiver! But my amplifier is connected to the TV through optics and in films the sound is output to the speakers just a masterpiece! Separately, it is worth noting the pure direct mode - just pleasantly impressed! 100 W is enough for me, the maximum volume knob is turned 1/4 or 1/3 - I'm afraid to turn it further, because I'm afraid for the speakers already. The power amplifier is a beast. I don't regret buying.
