Review on Dorman 645-512 Blower Motor Resistor Harness: Compatibility with Select Models for Enhanced Performance by Terry West

I bought this wiring harness because the factory wiring harness had a slightly melted connector due to the first generation fan motor drawing too much current. I replaced the fan motor and fan motor resistor last year and my heating and air conditioning still cut out for me. I looked at the resistance of the fan motor and by wiggling the wiring harness it turned on. I noticed that 1 pin on the wiring harness had melted a bit and that was causing poor contact. I bought this harness because the shape and pinout matched the connector on my 2006 Ford Fusion SEL with Auto Temperature Control. This harness does NOT have factory colors on the wires, but if you cut and splice just 1 wire at a time it will turn out nice. simply. Just make sure you have a good crimping tool and good electrical tape or scotch tape to hold everything together after cutting and splicing.
