Really reliable product, saves lives and works as intended! After 14 years, the gold ring on my husband's finger has become a worrying thing! It got very tight and with frequent swelling of the fingers it got tight like nothing! The friction resulted in a gradual impact on the finger. The pain got worse and before it got unbearable we bought this product and got rid of the thumb ring! That must be a great product! 6 stars out of 5 :) Steps: Use ice to reduce swelling if present; do it in adequate light; Take your time and insert it carefully according to the instructions. Your spouse can either hold the handle or turn the blade clockwise. JUST MAKE SURE the grip is good and there is friction between the ring and the blade! Do it slowly and patiently.
