It's been working for several months and I can't get enough of it. I bought this mount because I wanted to place my 55" TV as close to the ceiling as possible and it seemed like the best option I could find. There were a few minor issues that might need fixing. First make sure you drill a good hole before inserting the tie bolts. I thought I had done it but it wasn't deep enough and I got to the point where all the torque I was putting on the screw should finish it by snapping the bolt halfway into the ceiling. So I had to move it a few inches from its original position. The problem was that my drill just didn't go deep enough. The next possible downside is that running cables through the middle of the bar is really difficult. There are two screws that go through the bar that hold the height in place and they get in the way making it almost impossible to connect a larger plug like an HDMI cable to it. Eventually I gave up and just wrapped the cables around the pole, as I understand it everything is hidden behind the TV to begin with, so unless all the cables are neatly tucked away in the pole. But overall I was very happy with it. Looks strong and durable and I expect a long life from it.
