Basic protection is good for a doorsill
I had a 2012 Wrangler that didn't have them and the constant dragging of shoes/boots over the doorsill scratched the paintwork and eventually started to rust. Arrived even quicker when the jeep was up and it was harder to get over the windowsill without "touch and go land". I chose my 2018 JKU Rubicon and added them before the scratches got too bad. Easy installation, looks like it belongs (matches the Jeep style waffle floor mats in the car) and offers excellent protection.
