Review on NOCO GBC013 Boost Sport/Plus EVA Protective Case For GB20/GB40 Lithium Jump Starters by NOCO Boost UltraSafe by Joshua Coulter

This review is specific to the NOCO GBC013 Boost Sport/Plus EVA Case used with the NOCO Boost Plus GB40 (2020 model year). (Case in some reviews for different models.) The case is of high quality. But the fit for the GB40 Boost Plus and accessories is below average. The GB40 block will not fit into the case unless you bend the charge port cover severely and press it into place. My concern is that the plastic hinge on the lid will break over time. The USB cable does not fit in the accessory compartment. The GB40 cable is much longer than shown in the picture and has a ferrite choke. Therefore, the cable should be packed next to the clips in the clip bag. Finally, the clamps must be inserted exactly (one after the other) into the clamp mount. They slide out easily and prevent the body from closing. If I ever had to use a jump start I would probably just toss the amp and cables in the car afterwards and fiddle with the case afterwards. At first I considered sending the case back, but as I would rarely need the jump start I decided to keep it. I found the case hard to find - there are different versions for the GB40 with different clips. So when looking for a case, make sure it fits your model.
