These are by far the best I've found. They stay in place even in fairly strong winds. If something heavier, I would still dismantle the awning. The straps were long enough for me, but Home Depot sells Velcro (fluffy on one side and hook on the other) so making them longer if needed isn't a problem. They are far superior to any plastic t-bars I've had before. Highly recommended to all!
