Review on ๐ŸŽง Sony WHCH710N Noise Cancelling Headphones: Wireless Bluetooth Over-Ear Headset with Mic for Phone Calls - Blue (Amazon Exclusive) by Ryan Brunson

Good sound but reasonably comfortable fit

One of the annoying things we constantly have to deal with is people trying to talk to us while we're jogging, walking or hike. I found that sports earbuds and tiny headphones weren't a sufficient visual deterrent, so I looked for something big and bulky to visually show that I'm busy and don't want to be disturbed. (As if I had to.) These Sony wireless headphones fit the bill in terms of visual size โ€” and thankfully, the navy blue model stands out better against dark hair. In terms of noise-cancellation, they're good for listening to audiobooks as my routes are on busy multi-lane streets in urban San Francisco. With my old sports headphones, the only way to hear during rush hour drives was to turn up the volume, which ended up damaging my hearing. With them I can achieve the tone at a more comfortable level. However, there is one major downside. These on-ear headphones feel a little tight and uncomfortable when pressed into the ear, with so-so padding. And I don't think I have a huge head or huge ears. I think if you wear them for long periods of time (maybe more than 4 hours a day) you might get hot spots. If you only use them for shorter events like phone calls, you'll probably be fine. The second downside is that they don't even come with a carrying case or protective case. That's fine for my daily exercise, but not ideal for travelers and commuters. But on the plus side, the battery life is great and you can comfortably get a full week going on a single charge. However, I read some reviews that said the battery only takes a few minutes to charge, but that's not true. It actually takes about 7 hours to fully charge, which is plenty if you forget to prepare the night before.
