Ideal for feeding our cats and compostable!
We use these plates to feed our seven half-ferrel cats, who live and eat outside (they have a spacious cathouse unless it rains). I asked the manufacturer about the coating and they told me it was a clay coating on one side so they wouldn't get wet. That's great because it means we can toss them in our green compost bins (even if there's some food left in there, we live in Sonoma County, you'll need to check if your area offers this). I'm so happy to have found an affordable compostable feeding solution for our clan.
