Review on ๐Ÿน Oxbow Animal Health POOF! Chinchilla Dust Bath: A 2.5 Pound Jar for Optimal Pet Hygiene and Grooming by Christina Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Oxbow is my "choice " for the health and well-being of my chins!

Oxbow is pretty much the label for most of the products I buy for my chin. My vet (who saved two chins for me and "fixed" both of my boys), who I fully trust, highly recommended this brand as a food source because it's pure, safe, and high quality. After learning that chins are prone to diabetes when given sweets like raisins as treats, I switched to Oxbow barley cookies and Oxbow veggie treats and mom, dad and kids LOVE THEM! Learning that they also make a wide range of chin hay and this random selection helps motivate them to eat mostly hay which is best for their teeth and overall health; I switched to Oxbow hay and hay consumption has increased significantly since then. In the seven years since I rescued Luna, my alpha male, and then Jean, who became Chianna's and Yoda's "mother"; this is the healthiest thing ever. They're a good weight, their teeth and fur look great, and when they play, it's all "Chinese Madness". With all of this in mind I went ahead and invested in an Oxbow dust bath and I have to say that as with any dust it is difficult to clean up afterwards (especially when 4 chins roll in it). like whirling dervishes!), it really changed their fur. They're soft, shiny, and as happy as can be when they're all "plumped"! It's an expensive product, yes. But the health and well-being of my chins is of paramount importance to me, and I have physical evidence to support my belief that Oxbow is to chinchillas what Zupreem is to birds. Personally, I'd rather invest in their diet and environment than risk their health and/or vet bills. But that's just my opinion...okay, my vet will probably support me and he's a "MALE" as far as I can tell!
