Filled with spring water after thorough washing and boiled water for tea. The next morning the water was turned on again and the tea became really tasteless, lid opened and mold started to settle on the floor overnight. I thought it was an accident, so I gave it another good wash and tried again. Morning tea is nice that it molds again at night. I've never had a kettle, I've only used it 2 times since I got it and that happened both times it was used. Back to the potty in Hamilton Beach! Haven't had this problem with any of the pans I've had.
