Review on IOGEAR 1 Port Print Server GPSU21 by Nathan Jones

I would like to give this unit a FIVE because once you set it up it works great. All the complexity is related to attitude. I'm a retired IT manager, so I'm not one to simply turn down a product install. It simply does NOT install as described in the manual. On Windows 10, it goes to the first level, but no print servers are identified as described in the setup guide, meaning you can't continue. I then went into safe mode a couple of times and was actually able to get past the first screen and find the actual print server (this product). In safe mode, even with network enabled, the application could not determine the correct print server. There were suggestions to disable firewalls and I tried this after we lost our internet connection. Finally, after switching between Safe Mode and Windows 10, an icon appeared on the desktop that said "PSWizard". which was clearly part of the setup but not mentioned in any of the documentation. In short, if you click on this program, you can bypass all the firewall settings that existed at the time (I disconnected from the Comcast modem, so it didn't bother me), as a result the wizard was able to connect my wife's computer to the printer without much hassle. It works out? You bet! Do you have to work to make it work? Bid!
