1st new vacuum cleaner - AWESOME! [7/2017 Edit-MAYBE NOT!] [9/2017 Edit-Happy Again!]

I have to say up front that I've never owned a brand new vacuum cleaner. I had used ones, good and bad, that I kept repairing, but the time had come. The first thing that struck me was how quiet the Shark is. Cute! The suction power is way better than the best I've had in the past. I love how easy it is to deflate, change configurations, and attach accessories. The LED lights are great, especially on the handle with accessories! I wanted to buy a Dyson because of the very long stair riser hose. I just couldn't imagine spending $500 on a vacuum, and the Shark came with a roller brush pet head that works great on carpet steps and furniture. I wish the hose was longer. There may be an extension cord, I didn't check. The only minor downside at the moment is the transition from a bare floor or rug to a throw or rug. I'm used to the old style of vacuum where you tilt the handle down and the head comes up to go over the edge. The shark needs to be rotated and tilted and maybe it can handle that, or I just found out disabling the drive roller would help. When I first used the Shark it caught the edge and was so strong it rolled off about 3 feet of material. I have cleaned the whole house with the deep cleaning setting and I am very disgusted with everything it has collected. I could not detect any loss of suction power even with a full container and after a few months of use. As long as the plastic lasts half as long as the metal vacuums I've had before, it's awesome! It's so easy to use and so easy to move that I've started vacuuming more often. Edit-7/2017: I liked Shark until about 1.5 years old. after. The inner hose of the electric floor nozzle is torn and full of holes! The shark wants me to buy a new lure for $120. Looks like they are just ignoring their guarantee! If I had known that I would have to spend an extra €120 every 1.5 years, I would not have bought the Shark. I would take a Dyson. I hope that customer service will come and send me a new nozzle. I will update again when they do. Edit-9/2017: Well after some persistence they sent me a new attachment. The only shipping cost was $20. Again, I'm very happy with the Shark, but I wonder if other people have had this issue. Added a photo of the problem.
