USE TORQUE WRENCH

Direct pan replacement on my 2015 Ram 1500 with ZF8. Everything fit perfectly and looked just like the original pan I took for 100,000 miles. Don't believe the FCA when they say these gearboxes are sealed for life. Be careful and follow the ZF recommendation of 60k when towing, or at least a 100k service interval like I did (since I used a truck and assumed no one had ever serviced it before). Just make sure to use a GOOD torque wrench. That's exactly at the low 8Nm torque most techs suggest. I used my heavy duty wrench, which isn't as accurate at these low torque levels, and ripped off the head of the bolt. Luckily I was able to unscrew the broken bolt and use one of the old bolts to tighten the spacers evenly all the way around. I then immediately went and got a wrench that was exactly to the torque spec and made sure everything was tightened before any leaks started. So learn from my lesson and DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the screws that come with the kit.
