Review on 🚴 Enhanced Visibility: Planet Bike Superflash Stealth Bike Tail Light by Chris Burks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Bright and fussy about headlights and reflectors

This is the second of these lights I have through no fault of my own. As others have pointed out, the flaw is that these things leak like a sieve despite the pliable and nice looking rubber gasket. I rarely drive on wet roads, so it's not too bad for me, but it might be for you. The most frustrating thing I noticed about both flashlights is that the switch is clumsily constructed such that a finger, let alone a gloved finger, is usually too crude a device to use a switch. I usually need a more precise tool, like a fingernail, to turn this thing on or off. Also, the switch often works randomly, so if I turn it off when I get home, I go out in the morning and find it. ON again. Or, worse, I can drive in the dark and trust the cars will see a bright flash behind me and I'll return home to find it. Unfortunately, despite its shortcomings, I haven't found the best in class flashlight. Update 12/2012: I have the second one and it's less picky. It's more water resistant and doesn't seem to switch to a different setting like the first one. Who knows if the first was exceptionally bad or the second exceptionally good?
