What a miserable experience I had trying to set up this horrible router. web utility. I was so pleased with it that I will choose TP Link again for my next router purchase. Apparently I made a big mistake. This thing doesn't want to find the web utility and doesn't want to properly configure either 2.4 or 5 GHz networks. I was told several times that I could not connect to the TP. Linked to the website but when I refreshed the browser it seemed to be logged in, although it also said I had no internet connection. directions are not clear. I tried setting a new password for both networks and at one point I was told to use the default numeric password that came with the device. During the process, I was told twice on the TP Link website that I needed to contact support. but the number wasn't listed with an error message and I couldn't find it on the website. Sometimes I could navigate to other pages on the TP Link site and other times it just flipped and never took me to anything new. generally a simple process. Very very confusing. I use a major cable ISP and never had this problem with my other router. I think I can put this POC back in the box and send it back. For a tech-savvy person, setting up a wireless router shouldn't be that difficult. If I decide to call tech support I can update. But my rating will likely stand as well if I can call and get it working properly. My comments relate to the setup process right out of the box, and having to call tech support is a huge blow to any device I buy. see MAC clone problem. But I have to ask you: If someone needs to clone a MAC address, WHY WILL NOT DELETE IT IN THE SETUP PROCESS? After reading about the MAC cloning problem, I *almost* went back and tried it. But I decided against it. IME Any device that gave me so many problems from the start is unlikely to provide me with a useful and reliable experience in the future. TP Link seems to have lost its charm as well as this client. Attention buyers.
