Hardware version 4: Very good router for the price, minor flaws in AP mode. I originally purchased this router from a local store in early August 2018 after receiving hardware version 2. After checking the firmware update online, I found that version 4 is the latest hardware version. I then ordered this router from Amazon (as a seller) on August 10, 2018 and was happy to receive version 4. My device comes with a firmware that is over a year old, but the first thing I do after purchasing a…

What a HORRIBLE experience trying to set up this router!

What a miserable experience I had trying to set up this horrible router. web utility. I was so pleased with it that I will choose TP Link again for my next router purchase. Apparently I made a big mistake. This thing doesn't want to find the web utility and doesn't want to properly configure either 2.4 or 5 GHz networks. I was told several times that I could not connect to the TP. Linked to the website but when I refreshed the browser it seemed to be logged in, although it also said I had no…

. This router arrived in September 2017 but regularly stopped working and required a reboot after 24 hours of use. After about 6 reboots, checking the modem, and other potential problems, I finally gave up. In addition to the points, the router temporarily hung several times and stopped delivering to the Internet several times. Although it was recommended in a few places, after I bought this router and started using it, I noticed that several other people were having a similar issue with their…

Great router well above the price - buy it

I have this router on a website one third party found. (Wire Cutter), who aptly called it "the best Wi-Fi router (for most people)". I would probably change that title and say "Best Wi-Fi Router (For Almost Everyone)". Don't let the low price fool you, this is an entry-level or budget model. It only costs around $100, but from what I've seen, its performance far exceeds its price compared to four other routers that cost significantly more. Over the years I have purchased several routers as…

of which focuses on network infrastructure. Over the years, I've watched TP-Link evolve from a low-cost NIC to a solid SOHO device vendor. This product is not what it should be for the price and there is no product support. The issues I had were the device not working half the time and the unreliability seemed to be due to the 5GHz band being on. I thought I just got a bad block, but that's a common problem with Archer C7. Bottom line, I paid for a dual-band WiFi router, but it actually only…
