I love this product. The end caps are positioned to give you the thickest end caps at every point. Lots of USB ports. I agree it would be nice if like me you travel with a bunch of electronic devices that need to be charged every night. But the tower is big. But it will charge two of my multi-camera phones and run on batteries. If you can refuse a luggage room, that's easy. Cord length will vary depending on what you get, but I find that both sizes fit and allow me to place this device where I want. good buy
