Review on Clear Cast (32 oz): Ultra-clear, multi-purpose casting resin. by Doris Tran

It is one of the biggest players in the world of epoxy resins. Amazing Clear Cast (ACC) is their workhorse. I use it for its ability to self-level in glass design and coating. I had a pretty strong allergic reaction to the smell (sneezing, runny nose, wheezing). Now when I apply I use a respirator (which they recommend). I find that even when mixing small amounts (20-30ml) I get a lot of microbubbles in the mixing process. A metal stirrer is used for this. For my use on mugs, I can "set them on fire" with a torch. It takes 4 hours to set up and 24 hours to cure. It's not designed for deep pouring more than an inch or so. You can apply multiple 1 inch coats during those first 4 hours to get desired depth.
