The simplest plumbing job
Big things. It connects easily, spacing is great - I have a regular 2x4 deep wall and I laid the 2x4 flat on the back (4" up, 2" deep) and then screwed into the board and the depth was perfect for my shower. I like being able to change the finish without changing the interior details.
