Review on Topeak Wedge Pack II Seat Bag with Micro F25 Fixer Black: Compact and Versatile Storage Solution for Your Cycling Essentials by Paul Letho

Big enough for the essentials.

I decided to custom order this saddlebag rather than going to half a dozen local bike shops for several reasons. Well done. My new bike has a carbon seatpost with a Zerta insert (specialized) and I don't want the Velcro to scratch the seatpost. My last bike also had a carbon seatpost and after a few years of riding around the post where the velcro attached, there was permanent wear and tear. Granted, my previous saddlebag was an all-purpose performance brand, so the strap wasn't anything fancy, like a rubber bumper or something. I also love how this bag just hangs under the saddle - it's very clean in my opinion. Rubber mount for rear light. As with many saddlebags, there is a spot on the back for attaching a light. However, unlike the utility saddlebag mentioned above, this one has a very tight rubber insert that holds the light. I drove over some pretty rough pavement the other day and my light didn't even move. Two thumbs up for these headlights, dear ones! ) Perfect size. well, close enough. The size is pretty close to perfect so I'll just say it's the perfect size. I can fit a folded travel camera (no box), a mounting arm, 1 set of flat hex wrenches (five wrenches staggered in length, the longest being about 4 to 4.75 inches long), a pair of latex gloves, and a spare canister of carbon dioxide. . The only thing I can't put in this bag is my carbon dioxide meter. This is the type that has a plastic shell that screws into the head with the cartridge inside. That's a bit too long. If I had an air liner instead, I could fit all of my repair items in this bag, but I can still carry an extra item in my jersey pockets. I also carry a small dry bag from the REI boat department in my tank top with keys, phone, ID etc. Quick release saddle. I find the saddle with quick release quite successful. Inside is a large base that attaches the bag mount to the seat. I read before I bought that this bothers some other people, but if you don't put your hand on this bag to put it on and take it off, I don't see that as a problem. I would also like to order a second "lock" attachment for my other bike. It would be nice to be able to easily remove the bag and attach it to another bike instead of storing two saddlebags. This is a great saddlebag and I will probably order a second bike rack in due course.
