I am a Srixon fan. I usually play Srixon Q Stars. When I read about the NEW Series 3 Q Star Tour I immediately ordered a dozen. The GOOD news is that they feel noticeably softer (as advertised) than previous models and you can hit them straight (as advertised) and high (as advertised). The BAD news is that you get these benefits at the cost of LOSS OF DISTANCE. my proof? They arrived yesterday and I went out to play skeeter with their nemesis. We both shoot 80s but he's usually 1-3 shots ahead of me. After a big fat 44 on the front 9s where I hit 6 of 7 fairways but noticed Skeeter was 30 yards ahead of me. I asked him to trade balls with me to see if it was me or the ball. Of course, I kept hitting the fairways, but I passed him by about the same 30 yards. After I won the first 4 holes he handed the ball back to me and complained that I was now about the same 30 yards in front of him. What should I do now? I don't want to play them (and lose distance and matches all the time). I don't love anyone enough to give them away. I think I'm stuck with a bad choice. I'm pretty sure Revane won't take back less than 12 balls. Will you? WARNING OF THE EMPTOR.
