The main reason I bought this light is that it is battery operated and has a modern look. When I received the BIGLIGHT cordless wall light and opened the box, I was surprised to see on the remote control that the light changes color. I gave the remote control to my 4 year old son to show him how it works. And he was excited to see the changing colored lights. It was an educational and exciting experience for him to see something new - press buttons to change colors and see the special effects of flashing colors; strobe of rainbow lights; and the colored light disappears. And I feel like a good mother when I buy something like this and nail it to the wall. Ha!
