Review on MH10 Rechargeable LED Headlamp By Ledlenser - Outdoor Light For Camping, Hiking & More by John Graves

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best headlamp I have, but with some important caveats

I have owned several headlamps(fenix hp25r, blackdiamond icon, etc), and with this light, I have found the one that fits the best for me (I like to explore nature at night). I have used it in a lot of different scenarios so I can confidently say that I know this headlamp a lotI love the focusing system, the light it's very powerful (I have some others with more lumens but I found no real difference), the battery life it's very good considering how powerful it is and I love that it's USB rechargeable. Also, it's very small and you can have a second battery charged because it uses a fairly common battery. What I don't like:Its no very water resistant, once it a heavy rain it just stops working. I dried it for a few hours and now its fine, but this is far from ideal and a deal breaker for some ecosystems. When I'm in heavy rain I have a second light at hand.My hair always gets stuck in the focusing system LOL, I try to use it with some kind of hat to prevent losing more hair due to thisThe low intensity is still very strong, and it does not include a red light. So if you want a dim light for inside the tent perhaps this is too much (I still use it in the tent but I would love to have a red light included)The red filter included are just useless, it's very hard to put it on and the resulting light cant be compared with a proper red led

Pros
  • Very bright clear light, perfect for work at night!
Cons
  • Charging port may become easily damaged due to its location and exposure
