My plastic trays keep breaking. This metal one is very easy to refuel; I don't have to try to fill dozens of little holes and tilt the tray until all the holes are filled. When the ice is frozen, I run water from the back sink for no more than 5 seconds until I feel a pop as the ice separates from the metal, then place the metal bowl on the countertop and pull the lever toward me . . The result is an easy-to-remove pile of ice cubes that I use most often when I use a Ninja blender to make cold coffee drinks when I get home from work. My ingredients are the darkest ground coffee mix, a gallon keg of Everett & Willow Cold Brew to get the coffee, sweetened condensed milk, ice cream, and sometimes canned Reddi whipped cream on top if I want to be fancy. Pricey, but if you're tired of the lame plastic ice cube trays, get this metal one. I've made at least a dozen batches so far. no signs of wear; still giggles. Useful for you, cheap (like me), a metal ice tray will save you money and make your life easier in the long run. If you need something stackable, this isn't for you; That would be my only negative point.
