Wanted well liked for hand tools

It seemed like the perfect tool - one head to replace them all (okay maybe just most or a few or at least a few). I couldn't wait to try it. Finally there's a project that needs an outlet! I put it on the latch and tried to turn it. Nothing. Tried again, nothing. In fact, I was concerned that he started rounding off the edges of the stud. it just seemed to keep sliding over the head of the bolt. I thought maybe this screw was too small so I tried a bigger screw. Nothing yet. continued to slide over the bolt head, almost threatening to round off the corners. After that I gave up. Today I admit that they were primarily rusted car screws, so to begin with they were not easy to remove. BUT I was able to remove them easily enough with my standard tools (measurements that should have worked with that). And most of the applications I had planned for it were automobiles. So if it doesn't work in this app, why should it? This might be better for the average home user not trying to loosen very tight or rusty screws, but it didn't work for my purposes. Second, some of the screws I tried to remove were metric. Maybe this tool doesn't work on metric screws? Claims to work with any size screw. Not an ideal result for my application because in the automotive industry you never know if you're going to run into a metric screw or an SAE screw. And that was part of the appeal - I didn't have to rummage through my socket collection to find the exact tool I needed. Well I definitely see it as useful in some applications. As for me, I want a reliable tool, not one where I have to guess when it works and when it doesn't. I hope to have the opportunity to try odd shaped screws in the future.

Pros
  • Hands free work
Cons
  • Very expensive
