First use of full tool span when applying final torque to phaser. The section cut to make a handle on the top of the tool severely weakened the tool. It's also significantly thinner than the over-the-counter tool. Hopefully the design gets fixed and the handle removed. UPDATE: Contacted Lisle about the issue and got an immediate response from a Lisle representative. Received a replacement product with no problems. The product has not been revised but I am very pleased with the prompt response from Lisle's customer service. UPDATE 2: Since purchasing these and replacing 1 damaged holder I have successfully completed over 30 phaser jobs with no further issues. Here's what I've done: 1- I only loosen/tighten the VCT bolts with chains installed. 2- I was able to straighten the damaged holder and am now using two holders on each side. 3- Maintain constant pressure on the top of the holder. As long as it is close to the head, the risk of slipping is reduced.
