Review on Firpearl Women'S Tankini Swimsuits Cross Back Flowy Modest Swim Tops Swimming Wear by Marty Wainwright

Nice, comfortable, flattering suit; don’t feel like a cased sausage

This suit has really fit the bill for me! I read the reviews like crazy before I purchased and here are my thoughts. The unfinished hem is not all that big a deal, honestly. I mean, I have yet to wear it in the pool or ocean or launder it, but it’s not frayed or really noticeable. This is the most comfortable piece of swimwear I’ve ever worn. I am 5’6” and 230 and working on losing weight, so it could be I have lost a little in the time since I wore a "20”, but lately 20 seems to be my size. I plan to buy a smaller size in a different color, so I’ll write a review on that one also.Speaking of color, it’s true to the image. Someone in here mentioned it’s more like a teal, and it is not. Definitely a steel blue shade.Again, haven’t worn in the water yet, so that may change my feelings about it’s function. It is comfortable to wear. I’m a 40DDD, and the band around under bust on this size 20 isn’t tight. It’s not overly supportive either, but I don’ feel like I am falling out of the suit or slipping underneath the band. The padding in this one isn’t bunched either and looks fine. But, it does seem to be lower cut in the front than others have suggested. Again, could be that the suit isn’t the right size for me?The back straps do a wonderful job of eliminating that back fat bulge. Again, will update when I get a smaller size.My biggest reason for buying this suit is that I wanted to hide the belly bulge. This suit is very effective at doing that. The fabric flows all the way around the midsection, so that part was accomplished!

Pros
  • The tankini design provides more coverage than a traditional bikini, making it a great choice for those who prefer a modest swimwear option
Cons
  • Not durable
