I returned the lighting set I originally purchased due to a defective battery. Got a replacement with the exact same problem. Batteries never charged to 8.4v, second unit reached 8.1v and lasted about 5 minutes on the go and never recharged after that. Due to their lithium ion chemistry I didn't return the original packaging so I took it apart at my shop and found that 2 of the 18650 cells had a clear and slightly tan liquid around the positive terminal. These cells are tested for dead 0 volts. In general I think that if you buy one of these lights you should expect to buy another (additional) battery pack or build your own. It was a waste of time, resources and walking around.
